BLOG - Nine Sleeps till departure! |
Only nine sleeps till we set sail on the QE2! We are sooooo excited.
Today we got the all clear on the Seafarers medical exam, not surprising that we are both fit, well and ready to sail. We both dont drink, smoke or take recreational drugs. Felt quite boring actually as the medical dude went through the list of potential illnesses and vices... kept saying nup, nup, no, nah, uh uh... oh well, we both make up for it in other ways :-)
So the packing, moving, cleaning, paining and selling activities are all happening. Its full steam ahead on this little love boat. Lots of closure conversations and events.
Wonderful conversation with long lost friend, made my heart swell that on the eve of the departure we could begin the repair of a broken friendship. Such a wonderful feeling when you finally get clarity on an issue thats been bugging you for years.
No flight details yet, awaiting email from the ships owner Cunard to tell us the actual day and time we fly out.
Thank you to everyone for such lovely, kind, encouraging and touching words about our impending trip. We have been overwhelmed with the support and encouragement, its such a wonderful endorsement for both of us. Thank you.
