Mexico again! This time we have over 600 Jazz Musicians and Jazz Enthusiasts on board the Crystal Harmony.
What a blast… the ship is full of beautiful jazz music, its just heaven. We were so pleased to hear a “friend of a friend” was on board, the wonderful Australian Jazz singer Miss Nina Ferro!!! Ahhh…. Couldn’t wait to hear her gorgeous voice and have a warm reminder of the fabulous Melbourne live music scene. The first photo is Paul at the head of our charming chariot, the water taxi in Cabo San Lucas where we hung out Nina. We took her out for the day and showed her a little of Mexico, we took her to our favorite resort, had a ride on a jetski, saw some sea-lions and stuff... she said it was the best day in over a year… all we heard from here were big long “ooohhhhsss… and aaaaaahhhsss” all day long.
Happy Halloween!!!
Happy Halloween everybody!!! Out here in the US of A, they celebrate Halloween in such a fun way, they all get dressed up in whatever they like and parade around in their favorite fantasy clothing! New to us Aussies, but hey, we kinda like that stuff, so we both got dressed up and paraded around too.
The first second is Paul and his new friend Mr Pumpkin-head… you should see the fruit and veggie carvings these guys do on the ship, its just amazing. We watched this chef carve out flowers and things on a watermelon, it was hypnotizing… so this is one of their carvings.
Oh… and as you can see this is Pauls new outfit, the pimp! What a fab night we had with him in a crushed velvet red suit, zebra striped lapels and massive afro wig! Lerv the handle-bar facial hair… my dad used to look a little like this when I was a kid…
And my outfit… well I just couldn’t resist the 60’s mini-dress with 6inch platform heels and matching-massive-fro…we had a great time walking around the ship like this, the guests just loved it, we were probably the most outrageous in our costumes (apart from the crew party… where it was rumoured someone arrived in a blue cellophane number… with not much else underneath :-)
I had a funny time on the dancefloor with our number one cruiser, Mr Don Louden… he loves to dance and this night the ship was really rocking… you try dancing in massive platforms, mini-skirt and huge hair… each time I turned I had to duck and hold my dress
at the same time… the funniest was when a Viennese waltz came on and Don expressed his interest in dancing this number… what a hoot, me in 60’s gear, whizzing around the heaving dance floor to a Viennese Waltz….
