IDSF World Latin Dancesport Championship 2008
Well, this past week has been huge! The DANCE101 teachers and students have engrossed themselves in the hottest dance event of the year, the IDSF World Latin Dancesport Championship! We have been involved in everything from the Media launch, Junior Development Day, Symposium, Gala Ball and of course the main events in dance, which were just incredible to watch in a live audience!
The Italians put in a massive effort to take out first place and become the 2008 World Champions. Their dancing was out of this world and the whole arena could see they were the winners, they won clearly with a highly vocal audience and a full house of standing ovation!
The DANCE101 special moment was when Paul and Cheryl were invited to showcase SALSA for the first time on a Dancesport floor and they did it on the World Championship day (Sunday 14th December)! To a packed Hisense Arena, Paul and Cheryl fought the various battles to get onto the floor and showed the audience the fun and joy that's available when you dance the wonderful Latin Dance of Salsa!

December 2008 is an exciting time of the year for Australia, the best Latin Dancers in the world are coming to our wonderful country and to our home town of Melbourne!
The IDSF World Latin Championships will be hosted by Melbourne! We are so excited, we just cant wait!
Now for those of you that don't quite get the gravity of this situation, let us give you background..... in the world of Ballroom dancing, Latin is the hottest, there's no argument there. But! You may not know that in the world of Latin Dancing, there is the hottest of the hot and its the Amateur Latin Dancers.
The Amateur Latin Dancers are by far the most competitive, the most energetic, the most athletic and the most exciting to watch on any dance floor around the world. So to have the IDSF world championships for Amateur Latin Dancing means we will get to see, the HOTTEST of the HOT dancers in the WORLD!
Get ready to mark dates in your diaries, save your pennies and tell your friends, you will kick yourself if you miss out on this amazing event.
