Salsa @ Melbourne Docklands, Virtual Tour

Click here for Google MapTired of crazy dance floors where you get beaten up more than you dance? Frustrated with getting stepped on, elbowed, bumped, crunched and boofed?

Well, do we have the place for you!

Yarras Edge Docklands is just gorgeous, its kind of a bit hidden so its not open to EVERY MAN and HIS DOG! So you dont get that crazy element. Its a lovely group of people who just enjoy social dancing and chatting, socialising and having a wonderful afternoon in Melbourne.

The floor surface is concrete, so dance shoes will get shredded. Hard soled shoes work best, rubber soles are hard work and so are really high heels.

There's protection from the sun, wind and even rain (indoor venue as well) and the views are just stunning with the City of Melbourne in behind the yatchs and docks.

There are cafe's open, so you there are toilets, drinks, food and everyone is really friendly. Its also an open space, so you're welcome to bring your own food and drink if you like.

There's plenty of outdoor places to sit, limited seating through the restaurants but still places to sit to rest those weary legs.

Music is a combination of Salsa and Latin (Cha Cha & Merengue) with the sprinkling of Bachata, Reggaeton, Samba and even a Swing or Rock n Roll if you're up for it!

This Youtube clip was taken on January 18 and is a tour of the venue if you havent seen it before.
