7.00pm Intermediate Salsa & Latin Dancing

This class starts with a warm up dance and progresses into Intermediate moves in both L.A. Style and Cuban Style Salsa.  In this class it's expected you will know your basic Salsa movement, timing and have the ability to lead or follow.  We also assume you can dance with your partner to salsa music of varying tempos and are on your way to using or are currently using intermediate Salsa moves / steps.

During the class you will learn Intermediate Salsa moves designed to get you connected with your partner and developing your dance skill.  We play plenty of funky Salsa music for you to practice to and usually allow 5-10 minutes after your class for you to practice.

At DANCE101 we use plain English, no fancy terms and as lovely as the language is, we don't speak Spanish, so we dont use it for teaching!  We do, however, place an emphasis on explaining things properly so that you really get it.  We don't just show the move, we actually teach it.  When the whole class is nailing the new Salsa move, we know we have done our job!

International style Latin Dancing!  Just like you've seen on Dancing with the Stars, its danced all over the world and its disciplines have been taught for decades.  Learn the entry level steps of CHA CHA CHA, RUMBA and SAMBA in the Bronze Level class.  We take you right from your first steps and settle down the basics so you really get it.  We then work on our lead and follow, timing and musicality

8.00pm Beginner 1 and 2 Salsa

Beginner 1 Salsa - Two left feet?  Just starting out? Want to make sure you get the basics right?  This is the class for you

This is where we take it real slow, get your feet working first, then move you to music, then with a partner.  We make sure you master the absolute basics of Salsa and take time so you really get it.  You won't find us rushing through the moves, we tailor our classes to you, so you get the benefit of that funky Salsa groove!

During the class you will learn Beginner Salsa moves and a little about leading and following when dancing with a partner.

Beginner 2 Salsa - This class is for those people who have already mastered the absolute basic Salsa step, or are transferring over from another dance style or just think they're going to get the move quickly.  This class is faster paced, we assume you can already work with a partner in a lead & follow situation (somewhat).  It's also assumed you can dance to the basic Salsa rhythm most of the time and to different tempos some of the time.

In Beginner 2 Salsa we take you through the various moves we have prepared for you, they are specifically selected for this level and we teach them to you using plain english.  No technical terms in our classes....oh and everything is in English in this class too!

9.00pm Social Dancing, FREE Entry

At DANCE101 we aim to offer FREE social dancing at the end of all our classes.  You don't need to be a student to come along and enjoy this time, everyone is welcome.  So if you live close by or are learning at another dance place, you will be welcomed and find our people friendly and easy to dance with.
