New Sunshine Venue
We are excited about the new Sunshine venue starting Thursday 1st October, 2009
St Pauls lovely church hall is the hometo our wonderful Latin & Salsa Classes every Thursday night! Jo and Marcus are very excited to welcome everyone to this fabulous new venue, its right in the middle of things, coffee shops etc and will make a great place to dance every week out in the west!

Cuba Memucho was the most wonderful display of Cuban dance, music and talent to hit Australia in a long time. If you missed out this year, hang in there, they should be back next year. The highlight of the night was Seo Fernandez with his Michael Jackson tribute. By far, the best Michael Jackson impersonation we have seen by a dancer. Absolutely incredible!

New Yarraville venue! More room for dancing!
Ladies ONLY Latin dancers in Yarraville we have great news! We are moving to a new venue with more space to dance and we can now take a few extra ladies as well!
As of October 5th, 2009, our Ladies ONLY Latin Dance program will be located at the following address
- Yarraville Club
- Private Function room
- 135 Stephen Street, Yarraville
- 7.30pm till 9.00pm
This program is a sell out every time and even though we can take a few extra women, we believe it will still sell out, so BOOK YOUR SPOT NOW!

Cuba Me Mucho instead of Salsa in the Suburbs?
That's right folks, why go against the tide and make life hard for yourself when you can just glide along and enjoy a lovely ride!
Cuba Me Mucho is one of the biggest Cuban Salsa events of 2009 and it's right smack, bang on the same day as our Salsa in the Suburbs event. "A taste of Cuba on the streets of Melbourne, Australia"
So, we've chosen to cancel our event and support our local community by going along to Cuba Me Mucho.

Who says you can't run a 100% Ticketed Salsa event?
We knew it had its challenges, licensing restrictions meant we could not sell tickets at the door of our own event at Friday Salsa Fix in Melbourne last night (September 4th) but that didnt stop us from having an absolute blast of a night!
Friday Salsa Fix (@ Spensers Live Melbourne) was a huge hit last night. Hundreds of people pre-booked online at the DANCE101 site and made their way to this fabulous venue. The dancefloor was absolutely packed, spilling over in every way!
DJ Fernando played an awesome mix of Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Cha Cha, Latin Pop, Reggaeton and Disco! The crowd loved it and our biggest issue was getting everyone out of the venue at the end of the night!
Congratulations to the winners of the door prizes, three private lessons with Scott and two full workshop passes to fantastic event coming to Melbourne in September, Cuba Memucho.
We just wanted to say a big thankyou to everyone who came along, for your support, your fun, friendship and your dancing. We had glowing comments about the venue, the event and the location. If you have any other feedback, please email us at info@dance101.com.au we would love to hear from you.
The next event is scheduled for FRIDAY OCTOBER 2nd, dont miss out, this venue will sell out and we now have a new problem, we wont be able to get more tickets once it's sold!

Karaoke & Latin Dancing @ Melbourne Docklands
Oh my god, what an awesome night at Karaoke & Latin Dancing!
For those of you that missed last nights event, you missed out bigtime, it was awesome! There were so many great Karaoke singers in the room it was so entertaining and enjoyable! And the best thing was the dancefloor was full of happy people, dancing with partners, on their own, or in groups it didnt matter and everyone was included. Thank you to all the wonderful people that came down and helped create such a fabulous night!
Happy Birthday to Kate Johnston, it was so lovely to see everyone out, singing and dancing, thank you for sharing your birthday with us!

Hot new venue! Switch @ Knox Ozone!
Switch @ Knox Ozone is the latest venue to take up Latin Dancing in Melbourne! Tuesday nights will rock the Knox Shopping Centre from September 8th onwards! Check out their website and go along for a meal or coffee before the classes, their food is awesome!
Australian Salsa Classic (October 30 & 31)
Not doing anything this weekend? Come up to Sydney for the Australian Salsa Classic Championship and loads of hot Salsa Dancing. There are a few people going from DANCE101, so hop onto Facebook and chat away (Paul, Susie, Keenan, Tristan, Alec etc) we would love to see you there!
