Teaching tips from Cheryl

Hey guys, here are the tips from Intermediate Salsa - Syllabus Version 2 for the Groucho

Use a combination of placing and flicking the arm behind the girls back with your left hand
Come forward towards the girls body so you can get your hand around the other side (your right)
Lead the turn from the girls hip, rather than the girls hand
Rotate your body towards your right so you lead from your chest, not your handAs the girl unwinds, ease off any pressure in the hand, allow her wrist to uncurl gently and naturally

Paul Coments

Hey guys just remember that we are dancing with a lady. It is our job to make them look amazing on the floor.......Not Us.
The man will get his credit when his lady looks and feels awsome. She will go out and tell 10 of her friends how much of a fantastic leader you are.

BUT.......If we lead them badly, too strong, hurt them or make them feel like it was their fault that a move did not work, they will go out there and tell 100 of their friends what sort of schmuck she danced with. Trust me we dont want that.

Coaching tips

I heard that Paul & Cheryl were going to volunteer a couple of lucky students for a video of each of the syllabus components. Or maybe that's just how rumours start?
